Time Warp

Fount of Knowledge Co-Worker Speaking to Shiny Young Intern:

FOKC-You know, you can use those binders to keep your POGS in.

Me--Welcome to my time warp, FOKC.  I'm constantly making cultural references that no one understands.  SYI wasn't even born when POGS went out of style.  His dad is four years younger than me. *wince*

I sometimes feel very old.

POG=Planogram? I had to look it up...never heard the term before, and I'm old too!

Piece of garbage? Property of God? No wonder I never worked well in bureaucracies.

POGS were like tiddlywinks but with themes and pretty pictures. People played pogs and kept their opponent's pieces. Went big in the late 1980s and faded by about 1994.

Monkey: See above.

NFO: Kids today. No sense of history.

Chas: Close but no cigar. The first is probably closest but the folks who collected and played would argue for your second definition.

All: No I never played (too busy with D&D) but I know people who did. My inner nerd is showing again.
