Treason....

So the President of the United States said, on a hot microphone in front of a whole room of reporters, the following:

President Obama: On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.
President Medvedev: Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…
President Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.
President Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.
He's now backing off his comments like a sheep cornered on the side of a cliff by a randy Scotsman.

However, after throwing Poland under the bus already on missile defense, I don't think there can be much misunderstanding as to what he said when he thought he couldn't be heard.  And I don't think I'm wrong in that the Defense Secrets Act of 1911 is still in force today.  As Himself points out, his negotiations on our national security and defense are explicitly geared towards his re-election, not towards the good of the country.

Yep, and if Bush had said this, they'd ALREADY have impeachment processes started... sigh

NFO--Exactly. Why Congress is letting him get away with this type of stuff is just beyond me.

I have never liked this guy, but man every single day he scares me more and more.

This overblown professor is scarier than Woodrow Wilson.

agirlandhergun--Agreed. But no one seems willing to rein in his tyrannical ways.

DirtCrashr--it's because academics are the scariest folks out there--they are convinced that they know all. I've seen them work on a micro-level and then give one of them real power--scary does not really describe their levels of hubris combined with ego.
