Because there are those that haven't figured out that the glow from a candle isn't a forcefield

And because the glow of candles at a vigil for two people shot in Maryland did not deflect bullets, someone walked up and shot a person at "point blank range", which amazingly was non-fatal so one wonders how "point blank" it was.  via Say Uncle.

Yep, but in MD, they can't carry either (legally),,, This money quote,
"Got to stop doing this, 'cos what are we going to tell our kids. Can't raise your kids behind a jail cell. Can't raise your kids dead."
Tells me at least 'one' of those there gets it...
