Trust is.....

Trust is your partner letting you lift him up in the bucket of the tractor so he can do some work ten feet up.

Been on both ends of that deal growing up around the farm... we needed to change the bulbs on the security lights on light poles and were about 8 feet short with the extension ladder... so we'd set the bottom of the extension ladder in the loader bucket, climb up the ladder, put on the safety strap, then lift the bucket up with the ladder in it... sliding up the light pole (ladder and me) until I could reach the bulb and change it... yep, stupid is as stupid does...
