Enter your crisis in this space....

I was reading an article today about Obama wanting Congress to pass a transportation bill.  The sentence reads:
President Barack Obama is calling on Congress to pass a transportation bill to ensure funding for roads and construction jobs, arguing that failure to do so would spell economic disaster.

I looked at Himself and asked if he only had one speech he uses for this kind of thing because you can just drop in about anything he's wanted done interchangeably in that sentence.

For example:

President Barack Obama is calling on Congress to pass a stimulus bill, arguing that failure to do so would spell economic disaster.
Or:
President Barack Obama is calling on Congress to pass a bill to raise the debt ceiling, arguing that failure to do so would spell economic disaster.
Or:
President Barack Obama is calling on Congress to pass a healthcare bill, arguing that failure to do so would spell economic disaster.
But seriously, every time he's called on Congress to pass whatever bill, arguing that 'failure to do so would spell economic disaster', it's actually passing it that's caused the economic disaster.

President Barack Obama is going to play a game of golf, arguing that failure to do so would spell economic disaster.

That is the one thing that he does to help this nation.

Never letting a 'crisis' go to waste... Even if they have to CREATE one!

North--It was actually better when he was on vacation and the Congress was on recess--at least they couldn't make matters worse.

NFO--That's their modus operandi, for sure. There is no perspective anymore since everything is a 'crisis' so they wouldn't know a real crisis if it bit them on their collective asses.

NFO--hopefully a bunch of big government/big spending folks will learn about the unemployment system firsthand.

The only one bringing up the possibility of NOT reauthorizing that infrastructure bill is...0bama.

BTW- I know he thinks only intellectuals need training, but does he seriously think multi-million dollar companies are going to let just anyone get in the seat of a $75K loader, or $100K excavator?
Krist- even his DoT people are trying to make farmers get a commercial license for driving a TRACTOR.

Kurt--They found out that those 'shovel ready' projects weren't really ready, nor would shovels suffice. Obama is under the impression that anyone can just jump on a piece of big equipment and run it. I've not run any big loaders, but we do have a good-sized tractor and it took Himself and a friend to get me properly trained up on it.

As far as the DoT/farmer thing, it would put a lot of smaller family farmers out of business if they had to adhere to the rules and regs that come with the commercial license. I think that one got put on the back burner but since the idea is out there, it could come back like Jason at Camp Crystal Lake.
